Job Summary

ITW is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Clerk to support the Transportation Department in facilitating and ensuring transportation-related functions are completed, audited, and recorded accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Auditing of completed import shipment documentation for US Customs compliance and accuracy, and communicating and logging issues/results.
Filing and recordkeeping related to both domestic and import shipments.
Interacting with third-party logistics providers via phone, websites, and email, and following up on shipments, as needed.
Tracking and reporting on inbound materials flow for imports.
Reviewing bills, invoices, and purchase orders.
Data entry - freight bills, Customs audit logs, etc.
Receiving and interpreting freight quote requests from both internal and external customers. Processing and communicating quote request responses to the requesting parties.

Requirements

High School Diploma with additional specialized courses or training a plus.
2+ years in Transportation/Shipping related field.
Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
Knowledge of shipping, receiving documentation, and general transportation processes.
Ability to plan and coordinate projects as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

General understanding of TL and LTL freight, Freight terms, import documentation, HTS Classification.

Salary and Benefits

The base salary pay range for this position is $24.00 per hour. ITW offers its employees a path for advancement, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to help employees care for themselves, their families, and their futures.
