Job Overview:
Elevate your career as a skilled Senior Network Engineer with Evolver Federal, where you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge network infrastructure for government customers in Washington DC.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum

Job Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation

As our ideal candidate, you will lead the project on redesigning and upgrading network infrastructure to meet organizational requirements.

  • Create robust and scalable network designs to ensure seamless data transmission and minimize downtime.

Infrastructure Upgrades

You will recommend updates and changes for existing core network switch configurations, ensuring optimal performance and security.

  • Analyze current network infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline network provisioning, configuration backup, and monitoring.

Security and Compliance

Implement and maintain advanced security protocols and measures to safeguard network infrastructure and sensitive data.

  • Develop and enforce strict access controls and authentication procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Documentation and Collaboration

You will create and maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and technical guides.

  • Develop detailed network architecture documents for stakeholders and team members.
  • Foster open communication with colleagues, management, and clients to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements:

Education and Experience

To be considered for this challenging role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • No less than 8 years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on network engineering and design.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, configuring, and implementing complex large LAN/WAN networks.
  • Proven expertise in Cisco Switching, Routing, and Security products.

Certifications and Skills

We value certifications like CCNP (highly desirable) and CCIE (preferred), along with expertise in:

  • Cisco Software-Defined (SD) Access.
  • Cisco Nexus Family Switches and Cisco Cat 9k.
  • L2 Protocols, L3 Protocols (STP, PSTP, BGP, VRF, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN).
  • Automation tools for network provisioning and management.
