Job Opportunity

NRTC is seeking a highly skilled OSP Inspector to join our team. As an OSP Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that units placed by contractors are accurately recorded as per the design plans. This role requires working outside in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to OSHA/State/Local Safety Standards
  • Record daily activities in a construction inspector journal
  • Identify and report unsafe actions performed by contractors to the crew Supervisor
  • Provide guidance on engineered construction prints
  • Generate As-Built records in digital format
  • Identify and record deviations from engineered plans
  • Effectively communicate corrective actions to subcontractors
  • Collaborate with less experienced inspectors
  • Review and correct traffic control patterns, signs, and flagmen
  • Understand and comply with required PPE

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Specialized training in construction or OSP engineering

Preferred Skills:

  • Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SmartSheet
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of RUS construction standards
  • Above-average verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to interact positively with internal and external customers
