At Stanford University, we are seeking a highly skilled Nanofabrication Research Specialist to join our team at the Stanford Nano Shared Facilities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, supporting cutting-edge research operations in nanofabrication. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, training, and support to researchers from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide scientific guidance and leadership in planning and implementing major projects utilizing direct-write lithography techniques.
  • Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and demonstrations on advanced nanofabrication methods and tools.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with researchers, engineers, and technicians from various disciplines, promoting effective collaboration and communication.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Development: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and upgrade our state-of-the-art nanofabrication equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, physics, chemistry) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in nanofabrication, electron beam lithography, or ion beam lithography.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, leadership, and communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
