Job Summary

An Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients with psychiatric illnesses.

Responsibilities
  • Continuously seek methods to improve patient care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory laws related to mental health care.
  • Be assigned to one primary unit while being trained on other units, including Adult, Senior Adult, Adolescent, and Women's units.
  • Care for patients with co-existing psychiatric diagnoses using basic physical assessment skills.
Requirements
  • A current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS – Healthcare provider certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • CPI certification within 3 months of hire and re-certification every year thereafter.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.
  • One year of acute care experience and one year of inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.

Salary: $34.67 - $49.59 / hour
