Position Overview: As a key member of our team, you will oversee the daily operations of our laboratory, ensuring seamless execution of experiments, equipment maintenance, and staff supervision. We are seeking an exceptional leader who will maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while guiding a team of lab technicians and researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of lab personnel, including technicians, researchers, and interns, to achieve laboratory goals.
  • Develop and implement laboratory procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper maintenance of lab equipment to optimize lab operations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and support professional development for lab staff to enhance their skills and expertise.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot technical issues, providing solutions to minimize disruption and ensure continuous laboratory operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support research and development projects, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to management and stakeholders to inform decision-making and drive laboratory success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, etc. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with 2 years in a supervisory role, demonstrating leadership and management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and equipment, with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Proficiency in specific software or systems relevant to the laboratory, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, to drive laboratory success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with laboratory staff, management, and stakeholders.
