We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. As a Phlebotomist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services, working closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff to collect and process blood samples for testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collecting Blood Samples: You will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a variety of settings, including doctor's offices, patient service centers, and long-term care facilities.
- Processing Blood Samples: You will process blood samples according to established procedures, including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test order.
- Providing Excellent Customer Service: You will interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff to provide excellent customer service, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and confident during the blood collection process.
- Maintaining Accurate Records: You will maintain accurate and detailed records of blood samples collected, processed, and tested, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately documented.
- Collaborating with Laboratory Staff: You will work closely with laboratory staff to ensure that blood samples are processed and tested efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Skills: Excellent phlebotomy skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication and customer service skills
- Certifications: Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states)
