We are seeking a Medication Aide Specialist to join our team on night shifts from 7pm to 7am, full-time. About the Role

The Medication Aide Specialist will assist licensed nurses (RN/LPN) in providing safe and ethical care for residents. This includes administering prescribed medications in accordance with state regulations and company policies, observing residents for adverse reactions, and taking and recording vital signs. The successful candidate will also maintain neat and clean medication rooms and carts, follow federal and state regulations, and immediately report any incidents to the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed routine medications and treatments as defined by state regulations
  • Observe residents for adverse reactions to medications and report any concerns to the supervising nurse
  • Take and record vital signs prior to administration of medications which could affect or change vital signs
  • Immediately document the administration of medication in the resident's record
  • Communicate all deviations in the delegated medication administration to the nurse
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have an active Medication Aide Certification issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing and additional education may include facility training to acquire proficiency in performing accu-cheks. Customer service skills, ethical conduct, and infection control knowledge are essential for this role.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
