The Aspenwood Company - Clayton Oaks Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Medication Aide to join our team. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician, monitoring residents for any adverse reactions and reporting concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Assist residents with medication management, supervising those who self-administer medication and ensuring adherence to community policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including medication distribution, leisure activities, and any changes in physical condition or behavior.
  • Provide direct resident care in accordance with the Resident Assistant Job Description, fostering a homelike atmosphere and promoting independence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery, attending in-services as required and participating in the community's emergency response team.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors
  • Delegated by a Registered Nurse for medication administration
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements
