The Strategic Business Growth Director will play a crucial role in identifying and pursuing strategic business opportunities for our Professional Services organization. This position requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills, technical sales experience, and the ability to negotiate and close deals effectively.
This role will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Sales leadership, and Customer Success Managers to achieve sales objectives and expand our presence in the Mid-Market Commercial space. The SED will develop and manage Professional Services Statements of Work related to implementations of our Genesys Cloud product.
Key performance indicators include quarterly financial targets (bookings and project profitability) that must be met to achieve projected revenue and build consulting services backlog.
Responsibilities:- Participate in pre-sales activities to fully understand client needs, tasks, and requirements.
- Assist sales teams with project scoping exercises and prepare statements of work for delivery by our Genesys Pointillist Professional Services Team.
- Pursue Professional Services sales leads and prospective clients.
- Align with the Delivery Manager on Forecast and Pipeline and provide dashboards.
- Create and deliver Professional Services Statements of Work that align with customer deployment objectives.
- Nurture business relationships, contribute to strategic planning, and network to identify new opportunities.
- Build client relationships through presentations and proposals.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of current products and market conditions to negotiate and close business deals effectively.
- Develop a pipeline of services orders to attain financial objectives and build backlog.
- Collaborate with Professional Services Technical Delivery Leads to enhance service offerings and provide customers value for PS Delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a business setting with at least three years of experience in customer-facing sales business solutions, digital solutions, and/or telecommunications environment.
- Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel 50-60% of the time.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven success in sales - lead generation, acquisitions, and relationship management.
This role comes with a competitive salary and compensation package, including a base compensation range of $122,100 - $226,900.
