Critical Care ECMO Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care ECMO Program Coordinator to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized plans of care for patients with consideration of their unique needs, culture, age, and developmental level.
- Collaborate with nursing, perfusion, respiratory therapy, and other consultative services to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Facilitate the supervision of ECMO Specialists to ensure adherence to established standards of care.
- Provide direct orientation and ongoing training to ECMO Specialists to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures for the ECMO program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain equipment and supplies to ensure optimal functioning and availability.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- A minimum of two years of experience in a Critical Care/ICU setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Specialty certification such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS).
- Previous experience as an ECMO Specialist and/or Unit Coordinator.
Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and education assistance programs.
