Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Job Description:

As a Behavioral Health Crisis Responder with Spurwink Services, you will play a critical role in responding to emergency calls related to behavioral health and substance use disorders. You will work alongside law enforcement to assess situations and provide support to individuals in crisis.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and assess situations involving behavioral health and substance use disorders
  • Collaborate with law enforcement to determine the best course of action for individuals in crisis
  • Provide support and referrals to community-based treatment and recovery services
  • Assist with behavioral health crisis de-escalation and assessments
  • Link individuals to further long-term Peer and/or Recovery Coach services

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Knowledge of Behavioral Health, Substance Use Disorders and Co-Occurring treatment services equivalent to completion of a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience
  • MHRT/C preferred
  • State of Maine CADC/LADC preferred; minimum CADC required within 9 months of employment
  • Valid State of Maine driver's license
