About the Role

As a Mechanical Specialist at CarMax, you will play a critical part in ensuring our customers drive away feeling safe and confident in their vehicle. We are seeking highly skilled Automotive Technicians to join our team, with a focus on diagnosing, reconditioning, and repairing vehicles to meet our high standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, utilizing your knowledge of engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning, and electrical systems.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to solve technical problems quickly and effectively, prioritizing quality and customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and communication.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in automotive repair and maintenance, preferably with ASE certifications.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance, manual dexterity, and physical stamina, including ability to lift heavy objects and work for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills, with ability to work well in a team environment.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
