Job Summary:
The Al Wooten Jr Youth Center seeks a highly skilled and results-driven Development Officer to join our team. As a key fundraiser, you will be responsible for driving philanthropic support for the agency through exceptional relationship management, including the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual fundraising goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, including identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Research and write grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, family foundations, corporate sponsors, and government agencies.
- Manage the annual fund and monthly giving programs to support a strong and diversified pipeline of support.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and implement fundraising strategies and goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, communications, creative writing, or a related area (master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of two years of experience in grant writing and fundraising.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with utmost integrity.
- Working knowledge of computers and software applications.
