Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician/Unit Secretary to join our team at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital. As a key member of our medical unit, you will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, documenting patient information, and providing exceptional support to our nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document cardiac rhythms, notifying primary nurses of any abnormalities
  • Perform desk functions, answer phone calls, and respond to patient requests
  • Assist with patient care, including modifying and delivering care specific to patient age, growth, and development
  • Provide secretarial support, including maintaining patient records and communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in unit and hospital activities, including quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings
Requirements
  • Medical terminology course or demonstrated competency
  • Completion of an EKG Interpretation course
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • CPR certification - current
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
