Mental Health Specialist

Columbus Regional Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician II to join our team in the Mental Health unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with patients through various activities, including answering call lights, providing assistance with daily living activities, and taking vital signs.
- Work collaboratively with nurses to provide a safe and therapeutic environment, including providing 1:1 supervision, utilizing crisis prevention intervention techniques, and leading patient group meetings.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Bachelor's degree in a behaviorally related field or a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Handle with Care Certification within 60 days of hire.
This role requires regular standing, frequent walking, and occasional use of hands to perform various tasks. The position also involves frequent lifting and/or moving of objects exceeding 100 pounds.
