Certifications: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist OR have 1 year of clinical laboratory experience with the requirement to pass a nationally recognized certification exam (AMT or ASCP) within 5 years and 6 months of hire.

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree required
  • Completion of NAACLS accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program
  • Visual acuity and color discrimination
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Job Description:

  • Responsible for accurately performing medical laboratory tests in accordance with established laboratory policies and procedures
  • Adhere to performance and quality standards
  • Conduct clinical instrument maintenance and develop new tests and instrumentation
  • Provide training to other laboratory coworkers
  • Actively participate in the overall functioning of the clinical laboratory, including assuming leadership or member roles on committees and projects
  • Maintain the laboratory in continuous readiness for inspection
  • Possess extensive knowledge of techniques, instruments, and basic medical sciences
  • Accountable for the consequences of decisions and provide guidance to other laboratory coworkers

Sign-on incentive available with a two-year work commitment. Relocation may be available.
