We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL A Driver to join our team as a CDL A Instructor at 160 Driving Academy. This role offers a stable, local job with excellent benefits and the opportunity to be home daily.

About the Role

As a CDL A Instructor, you will train the next generation of truck drivers, equipping them with the skills for a successful career. You will provide hands-on instruction in Pre-Trip, Yard Skills, and Road Driving, emphasizing safe, professional driving practices in every session.

You will also help students prepare for the CDL exam and support their success throughout their training. With paid training provided, this position is perfect for CDL A professionals committed to safety and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver High-Quality Training: Provide expert instruction in CDL A training, focusing on student development and skill improvement.
  • Maintain a Safe Learning Environment: Ensure a secure and supportive learning environment for students, promoting a culture of safety and professionalism.
  • Support Student Success: Help students achieve their goals by providing individualized support and guidance throughout their training.
  • Work Locally: Enjoy a consistent schedule with no overnight travel, being home daily and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements:
  • Certifications and Experience: Hold a valid Washington CDL Class A license with 24+ months of verified tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Clean Driving Record: Possess a clean driving record, with the ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol tests.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Demonstrate basic computer skills for scheduling and tracking student progress.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills and a passion for safety and teaching.
