Job Summary:

As a Tractor Mechanic at J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc., you will be responsible for performing intermediate-level repairs on tractors, including maintenance and troubleshooting. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractors, including fuel systems, batteries, engines, and transmissions.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and work with the team to resolve problems.
  • Assist with the onboarding and mentoring of new technicians.
  • Participate in original equipment manufacturer training for OE repairs.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in semi-tractor maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A/C Certification.
  • DOT certified in FHWA Inspections and Air Brakes.
  • Basic tools required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Proficient computer skills.
