Waste Connections is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Maintenance and Repair Billing Clerk in our Portland, OR office.

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing of customer work orders, which includes reviewing daily hours and work completed from our service department, compiling data, and entering it into multiple billing systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective time management, and a good understanding of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process daily maintenance and repair work orders
  • Compile data and enter it into billing systems
  • Research account service pricing and make necessary corrections
  • Provide customer data and updates to controllers
  • Support monthly invoice billing
  • Provide back-up support and cross-training for department positions

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of prior accounting experience
  • Prior experience working with Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
