Job Summary

The Polysomnographic Technologist is accountable for performing and coordinating physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of sleep diagnostics and the ability to operate complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and coordinate sleep studies, including patient hook-up and machine calibrations
  • Follow department procedures to ensure accurate data collection
  • Score and interpret sleep study results, preparing reports for physician analysis
  • Conduct patient education and adjust teaching techniques according to patient needs
  • Participate in equipment care and maintenance, identifying and reporting abnormalities
Requirements
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RpsgT) with 2 years experience in sleep diagnostics
  • Basic MS Office and Windows skills
  • Prior experience with Sleep/Works computerized acquisition system preferred
Work Environment

This role is based at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado, and requires the ability to work a full-time night shift. The successful candidate will be expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and may be required to stand for extended periods.
