Polysomnographic Technologist

The Polysomnographic Technologist is accountable for performing and coordinating physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of sleep diagnostics and the ability to operate complex equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and coordinate sleep studies, including patient hook-up and machine calibrations
- Follow department procedures to ensure accurate data collection
- Score and interpret sleep study results, preparing reports for physician analysis
- Conduct patient education and adjust teaching techniques according to patient needs
- Participate in equipment care and maintenance, identifying and reporting abnormalities
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RpsgT) with 2 years experience in sleep diagnostics
- Basic MS Office and Windows skills
- Prior experience with Sleep/Works computerized acquisition system preferred
This role is based at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, Colorado, and requires the ability to work a full-time night shift. The successful candidate will be expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and may be required to stand for extended periods.
