We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Medpace. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving our cybersecurity architecture to protect our digital infrastructure.

This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of security best practices and the ability to engineer security solutions without oversight. You will collaborate with multiple internal departments and vendors to ensure the security of our infrastructure, cloud, edge devices, and data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engineering security solutions without oversight
  • Analyzing security systems and seeking continuous improvements
  • Researching vulnerabilities and performing vulnerability scanning
  • Maturing security best practices and policies internal to the organization
  • Developing new processes and cross-training coworkers
  • Providing security awareness training and testing
  • Performing cyber security incident triage and remediation activities
  • Reviewing and reducing inappropriate/overprovisioned access

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology
  • Prior internship/co-op experience in Information Security
  • Understanding of security best practices and ability to implement them at a business-wide level
  • Experience with managing, configuring, and deploying enterprise-grade security solutions
  • Exceptional communication skills and fundamental scripting skills
