Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including preparation, anesthesia, and recovery
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and other medical procedures as needed
  • Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history
  • Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures
  • Assist with laboratory work, including blood draws and sample preparation
  • Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients, including feeding, medication administration, and monitoring
Requirements
  • Current California RVT license
  • Previous experience in an animal hospital setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical software
