We are seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals in Santa Monica, CA. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including preparation, anesthesia, and recovery
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and other medical procedures as needed
- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures
- Assist with laboratory work, including blood draws and sample preparation
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients, including feeding, medication administration, and monitoring
- Current California RVT license
- Previous experience in an animal hospital setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical software
