Industrial Coatings Specialist

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Coatings Specialist to join our team at Central Plains Industries in Clark, SD.

**Job Overview:**

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for applying industrial paint finishes on metals or other surfaces. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Responsibilities:**

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting by sanding, rust removal, and pressure washing.
• Apply paint and powder coating to completed production jobs and sub-assemblies.
• Use correct paint equipment settings and adjustments.
• Perform daily maintenance on paint equipment.
• Utilize proper paint application techniques.
• Assist in loading and off-loading the auto-line with parts.
• Rotate duties with other co-workers between painting, loading, and unloading the auto line.
• Read and understand customer blueprints.
• Identify and mask areas that are not to be painted.
• Inspect paint jobs for quality problems such as runs and missed areas.
• Maintain paint equipment in clean working order.

**Requirements:**

• Minimum one year of prior production painting experience.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, complete work with a sense of urgency without compromising quality, and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to portray a cordial and welcoming demeanor toward coworkers and customers.
• Self-directed, excellent initiative, and strong organizational skills.

**Compensation and Benefits:**

Our starting wage is based on experience and offers a competitive salary package, including health insurance, dental, vision care, 401K, PTO, Aflac, paid holidays, attendance bonus, production bonus, and boot allowance.

**Work Schedule:**

Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 5pm.
