AI Innovations Lead for Conversational Technology

As an Applied Scientist on our Customer Engagement Technology team, you'll play a critical role in developing cutting-edge solutions that combine the power of LLMs and NLP models to deliver unparalleled results.
About the RoleWe're seeking an exceptional talent to lead our efforts in AI innovations for conversational technology. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art chatbots and conversational AI systems that can understand and respond to customers in a natural and contextually appropriate manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Research and development of LLM-based chatbots and conversational AI systems for customer service applications.
- Design and implement state-of-the-art NLP and ML models for tasks such as language understanding, dialogue management, and response generation.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate LLM-based solutions into Amazon's customer service platforms.
- Develop and implement strategies for data collection, annotation, and model training to ensure high-quality and robust performance of the chatbots.
- Conduct experiments and evaluations to measure the performance of the developed models and systems, and identify areas for improvement.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languages.
- Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse.
- Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code.
- Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
