Emergency Department Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care and working in a fast-paced environment.
About Us:MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a not-for-profit, acute-care teaching and research hospital with 609 beds located in Northwest Washington, D.C. We are committed to offering a trusting and compassionate environment where patients can receive innovative diagnostic and treatment options.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to patients as assigned, including collecting assessment data, administering medications, and performing activities of daily living
- Care for lower acuity patients in the ED Flex area and waiting room
- Establish effective relationships with patients and families to facilitate the development of a patient-centered care plan
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to implement a plan of care and education to maintain and restore health and prevent complications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
- Minimum of one year experience in a rehabilitation or acute setting
- Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure in the District of Columbia required
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
The estimated salary range for this position is $23.33-$37.82 per hour. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive salaries, 20 days of paid time off per year, education/tuition assistance, relocation reimbursement, and a nationally renowned wellbeing program.
