Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Local Pickup & Delivery Driver to join our team at Old Dominion Freight Line. As a critical member of our OD Family, you will play a key role in delivering and picking up our customer's freight, ensuring timely and accurate transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently, adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Transport freight between company terminals and customer facilities, navigating non-forgiving surfaces and reading shipping labels.
  • Complete various forms and documents related to freight movement, including shipping orders and exception reports.
  • Be available for work at all times to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid commercial driver's license with hazmat, doubles, and tanker endorsements.
  • 12 months previous tractor-trailer driving experience or completion of a State Certified driving school.
  • Ability to read, write, speak English, and perform simple mathematical calculations.
