Job Summary

Morrison Healthcare is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to prepare or direct the preparation of meals in accordance with corporate programs and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, food safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management, or related field
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Extensive catering experience and high-volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • Hands-on chef experience and comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
  • Must be experienced with computers and willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities
