The U.S. Army has a variety of roles available for individuals who enjoy working with heavy equipment and vehicles. As a mechanic in the Army, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and machinery are in good working order. This includes performing routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair vehicles and heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment failure
  • Conduct diagnostics and repairs on complex mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient and effective maintenance
  • Meet established quality and safety standards
Requirements
  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
  • Pass the ASVAB test
  • Meet height and weight standards
