Groundperson with CDL

The Line Clearance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient removal of vegetation from utility lines. This involves gathering and feeding brush and debris into a woodchipper, scanning areas for trip and fall hazards, and maintaining equipment and materials.

Nelson Tree Service provides utility companies with line clearance services, upholding a commitment to the highest standards of performance and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and be able to operate chainsaws, wood chippers, and other equipment safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees
• Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chipper
• Services vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order
• Must be 18 years of age or older and willing to join local union and pay union dues

Working Conditions:

• Works around hazardous equipment
• Works around excessive noise from machines, chain saws, and wood chippers, with hearing protection
