Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Baker/Packager to join our team at Sam's Club. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, following recipes and organization principles to ensure our members have the freshest items available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes/make-up instructions, and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment, and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures, and ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service to members.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
