Russell Tobin's client is seeking a skilled Payroll Operations Coordinator to join their team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and administration.

The salary for this role is estimated to be between $25-$28 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and support all wage garnishments, ensuring compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Assist with processing, balancing, and transmitting payrolls to and from ADP for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly disbursements across the U.S. and Canada for 40,000 employees.
  • Handle various processes such as new hires, STD, wage assignments, relocation, expatriate compensation, additional pay, bonuses, commissions, direct deposits, pay cards, and final pay for terminations.
  • Ensure automated timekeeping hours files are processed and balanced.
  • Calculate and create out-of-sequence pay entries for corrections.
  • Manage tax and GL processes for accurate reporting to ADP and Accounting, troubleshooting errors for resolution.
  • Frequently interact with various departments, including HR and Accounting.
  • Assist with payroll, tax, and benefit reconciliations and audits.
  • Create, track, and resolve service requests with third-party payroll providers.
  • Support training needs for incoming payroll staff.
  • Identify critical pay tickets to determine the need for on-demand pay cards/checks and process emergency payments.
  • Address incoming inquiries from the ticketing system, employees, stakeholders, or regulatory agencies and escalate internally as needed.
  • Stay informed on payroll and HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable state, local, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • An associate degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of three years of payroll experience is necessary, with a focus on wage garnishment processing.
  • Proficiency in reporting, data analysis, or payroll reconciliations is essential.
  • A strong understanding of payroll impacts on payroll tax and accounting is required.
  • Ability to create and modify reports using GlobalView reports is necessary.
  • Experience in multi-state payroll processing in a fast-paced, large-volume environment is highly valued.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and analytical individuals with strong attention to detail are encouraged to apply.

  • Ability to adapt to and drive change is required.
  • Confident communication skills with strong active listening skills are necessary.
