Description: We are seeking a compassionate senior living professional to join our team at Fieldstone at Chester Springs. As a memory care activities assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and oversight of activities that promote a level of health, well-being, engagement, and growth for our residents in the Compass Memory Care Neighborhood.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors and a passion for creating engaging and meaningful activities. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and conducting programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for our residents. You will also assist in maintaining an inventory of activity and programming supplies, games, programs, and craft services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and conducting programs that promote physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being for residents.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of activity and programming supplies, games, programs, and craft services.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all equipment and supplies are available for activities and special events.
  • Plan and coordinate mixed group activities that promote socialization and engagement among residents.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events and posting and distributing the calendar.
  • Distribute the community newsletter and assist in maintaining a database on resident assessments, participation, and satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
A successful addition to our team will be a team player who displays a willingness to assist their teammates, an individual whose goal is to encourage residents to engage in meaningful activities, and most importantly a professional who treats others with respect and approaches them in a tactful manner.

We are looking for a candidate who has an associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with seniors is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, speaking the primary language of the residents, and will have the ability to use software to design calendars and signs, use email and the Internet, and work a flexible schedule.
