About the Job

The Nursing Care Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients. This includes supervising the care treatment and services of patient care provided by LPNs, CNAs, and other staff on assigned units and shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for each patient.
  • Assess and re-assess patients regularly to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Report any patient concerns or changes in condition to supervisors and/or physicians in a timely manner.

Educational Requirements

A valid current RN license from the state or a compact state is required. Certification in Psychiatric Nursing is preferred. CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification are also required.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
