Mass General Brigham seeks a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Float for a nursing position in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing patient care according to the philosophy and standards of the Department of Nursing.
About the JobThis 32-hour evening shift position offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse populations while utilizing your clinical skills to integrate and implement the nursing process with the plan of care.
Responsibilities:- Nursing assessment is completed accurately and timely in accordance with practice standards.
- A comprehensive plan of care is developed and implemented that reflects the needs and goals of the patient.
- Nursing care is provided, evaluated and modified to achieve goals and objectives.
You will also be responsible for transcribing or acknowledging doctors' orders as needed and carrying them out as directed, as well as coordinating nursing care activities with other care team members to facilitate achievement of patient goals.
Requirements:- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate is required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Previous RN experience preferred.
- Licensure: Current license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration as a Registered Nurse.
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with varying shifts, including evenings and nights, holidays, weekends, and travel. You must be able to maintain variable work schedules to meet department needs.
The successful candidate will possess effective verbal, electronic, and written communication skills using the English language, as well as computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, employee assistance programs, and more.
