Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiograph Technologist to join our team at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiovascular services team, you will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound examinations, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. You will work closely with physicians to identify the presence or absence of disease, utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations, including transesophageal echocardiography and echo-guided procedures
  • Assist physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations
  • Modify procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis
  • Comply with American Society of Echocardiography standards and departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide shared coverage for stand-by and call-back emergency studies in the evenings and weekends

Requirements:

  • Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer certification
  • Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • 1 year experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available
  • Pediatric echocardiography experience
  • Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices)
  • Experience with echo-guided trans-catheter procedures
