We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead our Operating Room team at Emory Healthcare. With a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient care, this role requires a skilled professional who can coordinate daily operations and supervise staff effectively.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a specific shift on a clinical unit. As a Registered Nurse Manager, you will be expected to work closely with physicians and internal administrators to ensure seamless communication and provide optimal patient care. Your expertise in staff coordination and mentorship will enable you to effectively train and develop other nurses within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating unit staffing to meet departmental needs
  • Mentoring and guiding Registered Nurses to achieve their full potential as Charge Nurses
  • Completing employee conferences, risk management reports, and unit management reports within specified timeframes
  • Identifying and responding to staff needs to ensure resource availability for patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • A valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board
  • The ability to complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, formal preceptor training workshop, and LEAP course enrollment
