Job Summary: Clinical Nurse Coord RN MedSurg

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. As a key member of our management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to our organization's vision/mission/values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support engagement efforts by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, recommending courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with Associate Degree.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required; BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
