Administrative Assistant

Murray Resources is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrative Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for evaluating buying needs, analyzing inventory, forecasting supply chain needs, managing vendors, and supporting the overall business plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to supplier inquiries and interact with various employees to ensure purchase orders are processed efficiently.
- Collaborate with sales representatives and purchasing agents to resolve issues and improve sales processes.
- Provide quotes, lead times, prices, and minimum buy information to suppliers.
- Analyze and maintain procurement and logistics data, including purchase orders, quotations, invoices, source catalogs, and inventory management.
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, and other relevant factors.
- Purchase high-quality products at the lowest possible cost and in correct quantities.
- Prepare purchase orders, review requisitions for goods and services, and solicit bid proposals as needed.
- Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve issues with undelivered or damaged goods.
- Report project milestones to top management.
- Analyze commodity markets to understand market trends and ensure the organization is using the right supplier.
- Attend trade shows to discover new products and trends.
Requirements:
- 2-5+ years of strong administrative experience in a distribution, wholesale, or similar environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including v-lookups and pivot tables.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented nature.
- A passion for staying up-to-date on new beauty products and market trends.
- Strong negotiating and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Canva is a plus.
- Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities.
- Comfortable with some travel (less than 10%).
