Job Summary

This position involves managing forestry projects on private, state, and federal land in the assigned District. Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, and overseeing projects related to hazardous fuel reduction, forest health improvement, and watershed restoration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans for forest management and other natural resource concerns.
  • Lead field staff and develop work plans for project oversight and monitoring.
  • Coordinate with other forestry and fire management staff to ensure stakeholder needs are met.
  • Provide technical assistance to landowners, internal staff, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Drive on State business and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of forest planning, site-specific prescription development, and environmental compliance laws.
  • Skills in computer applications, interpersonal communication, and training others.
  • Able to interact effectively with others, track progress, and lead with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain accurate written records and prepare documents.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience.
