About the Role

The Diesel Fleet Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet by performing repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on diesel equipment. This role requires hands-on experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and reefers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance within company standards to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability to maintain accurate records.
  • Handle road service calls, perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Backup other maintenance shop personnel and demonstrate willingness to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
Requirements:

This role requires:

  • Three years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or two years with relevant certification.
  • Demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read and understand technical manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of $32.05 per hour, overtime compensation, a retention bonus, certification premium, and CDL premium.
