Job Summary

This role requires a Director of Sales with a passion for hospitality to lead our sales efforts at the Hampton Inn Morgan Hill. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Hilton Brands and be able to prospect new sales leads, develop relationships with key clients, and maintain positive STAR report numbers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect new sales leads by identifying, developing, and maintaining professional relationships with key clients (spends more than 50% of workday/week away from the office)
  • Identify and seek out potential business in the local market, maintain relationships with local companies and key people to increase hotel visibility
  • Focusing prime selling time on direct sales efforts only
  • Create and manage sales solicitations and presentations specific to property/brand
  • Negotiate all aspects of the sales contract to leverage profitability while achieving client expectations
  • Maintain positive STAR report numbers in areas of occupancy, average daily rate, and Revpar
  • Assist in the development of property budgets and forecasts, operating within them
  • Develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive sales strategies
  • Achieve budgeted revenue goals consistently using training, tools, and procedures provided
  • Call on potential customers making in-person visits a minimum of three days per week following company-established procedures

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of hospitality sales and or management experience
  • Ability to organize multiple projects, manage and prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Experience at properties of similar size and quality

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year based on location and experience
