LPN w/Meds, PCN

UPMC Kane is seeking a skilled LPN to join their team in a casual role working in outpatient settings. As a float position, this role will require working at various locations in Kane, Johnsonburg, Sheffield, and Mt. Jewett.

• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients and their families.
• Conduct interviews with patients to answer questions related to healthcare problems and provide necessary counseling.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by the attending physician and maintain up-to-date knowledge of immunization requirements.
• Perform laboratory duties, ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Identify and communicate educational needs of patients to their physician and provide teaching in these areas upon request.
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and perform specialized procedures.
• Maintain competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences.

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• CPR certification based on AHA standards.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Act 34 clearance.
