Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a leading Ohio mechanical contractor specializing in commercial plumbing and HVAC projects.

This is a great opportunity for a professional with a strong background in estimation and project management to take on a leadership role and contribute to the company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Estimation: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial plumbing and HVAC projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Project Analysis: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project details.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare and present comprehensive bid proposals and cost estimates to clients.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the construction process, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Provide expert advice and support during project planning, bidding, and negotiation phases. Mentor and train junior estimators and support staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as an estimator in a mechanical contracting environment, with a strong focus on commercial plumbing and HVAC projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and related mechanical trades.
  • Proficiency in estimation software such as Quickpen, Estimation, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing estimates for complex commercial projects.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
