Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Transport Operations Director to oversee the daily operations of our Central Transport department at Monmouth Medical Center.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling and resource allocation to meet patient care needs. This role requires strong management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to maintain a cohesive workforce while adhering to productivity and service standards.

In this key position, you will manage the day-to-day Central Transport department operations, including scheduling, daily assignments, training, and equipment usage. You will ensure that staff assignments and duties are completed in accordance with established standards for timeliness, service, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain positive relationships with all customers, employees, physicians, patients, visitors, and guests
  • Utilize various feedback mechanisms to improve processes and services to meet and exceed customer needs
  • Implement sound employee relations practices and maintain high levels of visibility and accessibility
  • Follow through on all customer requests and inquiries in a timely manner
  • Apply principles of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) in all work situations
  • Contribute to improving quality services and productivity
  • Affectively allocate and schedule resources
  • Project and appropriately staff the unit/department to effectively function to demand
  • Optimize resource utilization, both labor and non-labor, to maximize efficiency and quality
  • Determine priorities and organize work and time to meet them
  • Adhere to sound employee retention techniques; effective selection and interviewing, recognition, fair and timely discipline, and ongoing performance feedback
  • Interact constructively, tactfully, and diplomatically with others and resolve conflicts effectively
