Job Summary

The National Football League (NFL) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join its innovative team of solutions engineers and architects. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining the NFL's wireless networks, supporting critical services within media workflows, game applications, and backend services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-performance wireless networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with business goals, ensuring alignment with the NFL's core values.
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams, configurations, and support documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide dedicated support for on-site stadium network and Wi-Fi technicians during NFL game days, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Represent the NFL IT Department internally and externally, providing expert technical guidance and support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, with 10+ years of experience or equivalent military service.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in network implementation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle maintenance in wireless networks.
  • Proficient in network administration, particularly Cisco and Extreme products, with expertise in controllers, access points, routers, and switches.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, STP, NAT, IPSEC, GRE, VPC/VSS, etc.).
  • Advanced understanding of networking concepts and principles, including routing static/dynamic (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, & BGP) and multi-layer switching (standard and private VLANs, VTP, Spanning Tree, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP Enterprise, JNCIP, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Identity Services Engine and DNA.
  • DAS and Cellular Spectrum Analysis experience beneficial.
