Your Team:

The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services (OENS) is responsible for working closely with other HPD divisions and community partners to identify buildings in distress, assess and develop strategies to address those properties, and work with responsible owners to improve conditions and return buildings to a stable financial and physical state.

Your Role:

As a Community Associate/Clerical Support in the Division of Code Enforcement (DCE), you will perform a variety of administrative functions, including processing lead complaints, monitoring lead performance reports, and maintaining statistical records. You will also conduct research, respond to inquiries, and assist with special projects as needed.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Process lead complaints received from 311 regarding Housing Maintenance Code and make inspection appointments.
  2. Monitor Lead performance reports; report any deficiencies.
  3. Ensure that Lead files; records; and logs are maintained.
  4. Maintain a variety of difficult and responsible statistical reports, including maintaining, examining, preparing and creating spreadsheet.
  5. Conduct research and respond to inquiries.
  6. Update tracking reports and inventory logs, and review program plans.
  7. May review Lead forms and documents and perform scanning functions.
  8. Provide interpretation.
  9. Make recommendations on Lead policies and procedures.
  10. Assists the Lead Unit Chief and Deputy Chief with special projects, as necessary.

Qualifications:

High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above.
