We are seeking a skilled and experienced Regional Agronomy Specialist to join our team at Stine Seed Company in Southern Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your knowledge of agronomic practices and sales techniques to drive growth and success.

As a Regional Agronomy Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with farmers in Edwards County, Illinois. Your primary focus will be on promoting high-quality seed products and services, while also providing expert agronomic support to ensure optimal crop yields.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural practices, including crop production, agronomy, and soil science. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with farmers, dealers, and other stakeholders.

A key aspect of this role is to manage existing dealer accounts and recruit new dealerships to increase sales. You will need to communicate and implement Stine's sales programs and policies to meet sales goals, while working closely with our Regional Sales Agronomist to provide high-level sales support.

To succeed in this position, you will require a deep understanding of sales techniques and negotiation skills. Additionally, you should have experience in dealer development and retention, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Our company offers a well-established territory with dedicated dealers, a 40-plus year reputation for quality seed products, and flexibility to work territory your way. We estimate that the salary for this role will be around $80,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain agronomic and technical knowledge of Stine seed products and services.
  • Manage existing dealer accounts and recruit new dealerships to increase sales.
  • Communicate and implement Stine's sales programs and policies to meet sales goals.
  • Work with the Regional Sales Agronomist to provide high-level sales support.

Competencies/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Three or more years of ag experience, including previous experience in agronomy, crop production, or seed sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales techniques and negotiation skills.
  • Success in dealer development and retention.
