Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to lead our Family Medicine team at Variety Care. As a Lead APRN/PA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our healthcare team, and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care to individuals of all ages, following the standards of the Oklahoma State Department of Health and the direction of the Medical Director and/or Supervising Physician.
  • Float to other Variety Care sites as needed to support our team and ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive medical care plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide instruction and counseling to individuals, families, and groups, respecting patient preferences and promoting a caring environment focused on healing and preventive care.
  • Identify health care needs within the community and make recommendations for comprehensive health care services.
  • Assist in planning and providing in-service training as needed.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and Variety Care policies and procedures related to patient privacy.
  • Provide Telehealth services from remote locations connected to a reliable internet resource, including a provider's home when necessary.
Requirements
  • Recognition as a Nurse Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing Registration and Nursing Education; certification by the appropriate national Certified Nurse Practitioner organization; and three (3) years' experience as a licensed professional RN.
  • Possesses knowledge of the theory and practice of the women's nursing specialty; of medical diagnostic techniques, methods, and procedures; of community health programs and resources; and of supervisory principles and techniques utilized at Variety Care.
  • Experience working with the public and co-workers; evaluating situations and making decisions; and expressing ideas effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Experience providing specialized nursing care in the maintaining of medical records; giving immunizations; and working in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Requirements
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds and assist patients on to and off of exam tables when asked or directed.
