Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Technician to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a key member of our pediatric day healthcare clinics, you will play a vital role in providing care and intervention to young children with developmental delays and special medical needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality direct patient care for a group of young children, including serving mealtimes, assisting with feeding, diapering, and dressing.
  • Offer developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance within daily scheduled activities.
  • Follow the direction of the Early Childhood Development Specialist to provide individualized developmental services in a child-centered, family-focused manner.
  • Establish engaging learning environments for young children and apply curriculum to address the objectives contained in each child's treatment plan.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, plus 6 months experience working in the care of children.
  • Additional education, including CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, may be substituted for the experience requirement.
  • Candidate must pass state abuse registry checks, drug screen, submit to a TB skin test, and required immunizations, or provide proof of immunizations.
